I also think that certain people feel relieved when reading raw, genuine and straightforward words. They recognize and appreciate that they’re not mislead by a person/writer. At least that’s what I’m like and would like to get that from others.

If I was you, I would not bother much about the fact that you did not present yourself as “I am a nice person and we will have good time together”. How boring this would be, right ? Your difference is what makes you valuable and it is your strength, imho.
